District Robotics Competition

Robotics teams from Boring MIddle School, Cedar Ridge Middle School and Sandy High School gathered at the high school on Friday, Jan. 16 to test their bots at a district competition. The teams, comprised of students in various levels of the district's Robotics program, and their bots chucked balls, earned points and battled throughout the morning.
In the end, the first-place alliance included a team from Sandy High School named Autonomous 201, featuring Aidan Scheller, Diego Marcelo Pasaye, Noah Parham and Russ Levitskiy; and a team from Cedar Ridge, named The Grugs, featuring Corbin Kasehagen, Phoenix Tingle and Nash Stephens. The second-place alliance included two teams from Sandy High School, one named B-Team, featuring Bradley Carter, Mason Anderson Sulffridge, Leland Kern and Waylon Green; and another named Pancakes, featuring Nathan Newberry, Wyatt Horger, Jesus Delgado Ochoa and Daniel Oglevie.
